Welcome to the DXC Youth Ski Festival! It's FREE!

 

The Duluth Cross Country Ski Club (DXC) would like to formally invite your children to join us for an all-area youth ski festival on Sunday March 5. We would love to see all of the northeast Minnesota area youth enjoy an afternoon of fun on skis with us! Have fun on skis and test your skills through the Fish Scale Frenzy, scavenger hunt, ski games, and terrain park of bumps, rollers and features.

 

There is no charge for this event, but please pre-register so that DXC can get your child a special Spirit Mountain Nordic Center day pass. Registration and details can be found here: https://www.myxc.org/events/dxc-youth-ski-festival

 

When: Sunday March 5, from 1 – 3PM.

 

Where: Spirit Mountain Recreation Area Grand Avenue Nordic Center (Google Maps Link HERE)

 

Cost: FREE! 

No charge but please pre-register at the link above so that DXC can obtain Spirit Mountain Nordic Day Passes and have enough snacks

Activities:

Fish Scale Frenzy (1:30 Start Time)

See how fast you can go! Ski with your friends!

 

Slalom Course, Terrain Park, Obstacle Course (1:00-3:00)

Put your ski skills to the test on a variety of fun and challenging terrain features. Appropriate terrain will be available for all age groups. 

Games and Scavenger Hunt (1:00-3:00)

Follow the clues and explore to find the hidden medallions. Test your ski skills with a variety of games.

  

Snacks: Snacks for the children will be provided by DXC. Food and beverages are available for purchase at Spirit Mountain Grand Avenue Chalet.

 

Tour DuLuth: This youth festival will be a part of DXC's season ending Tour DuLuth Ski Festival, held March 4 and 5. Special activities are planned at trailheads and establishments all weekend long, including a candlelight ski on Saturday evening. Try to ski at all of Duluth's trails just for fun!
