2020 Summer Junior Cross Country Training Programs

 

Cross Country Ski Training with NorthXC (DXC’s Junior Development Program)

 

Ages 14 to 19 years old:

• Two or Four mornings a week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday mornings - additional weekend over distance training days included.

• Time 9AM

• Focus on strength, endurance, technique and improved over all fitness. 

• Cost $175 to $350

• Equipment needed is roller-skis (skate and classic) boots, poles, and helmet.  A limited number of roller skis are available to rent from NorthXC. Cost $100 per pair for summer season. 

 

Ages 10 to 13 years old:

• One morning a week Wednesday

• Time 9AM

• Focus on learning to train, develop good technique on roller skis and have fun.

• Cost $90

• Equipment needs is bounding poles, skate boots, helmet, skate poles and roller-skis.  North XC has roller-skis which are available to participants use during practice.

 

Both programs start Monday, June 15th and run to August 10th.

This program is organized and run by Siiri Morse and Sara Morse. Coaches will be the best in the mid-west.  Come join us for a summer of fun and fulfilling ski training. Full and part scholarships sponsored by the DXC.

 

CXC Summer 2020 Training Camps

 

CXC (Central Cross Country Ski Association) offers summer camps for ages 10 to 19 years old.  These camps are a great way to focus on technique, training and development in a fun supportive atmosphere.  Most camps are held on college campuses and offer room, board, great facilities and coaching from some of the best coaches in the Midwest.  

 

Summer 2020 Dates:

Igor Camp (ages 10 to 13)

Twin Ports @ UWS -  June 12 to 14th

Ironwood @ Geogobic Community College - August 7th to 9th

 

Junior Development Camps (ages 14 to 17*/ages 14 to 19) 

*Juniors have the option of three day or five days.

Twin Ports @ UWS - June 14th to 16th/June 14th to 19th

Cable @ Telemark Caondos - July 19th to 21st/July 19th to 24th

Ironwood @ Geogobic Community College - August 1st to 3rd/August 1st to 7th
