Northwoods Ski Trail: Take a photo with Bean Lake

Route Description: You know that you are in for an adventure when mapping systems don’t even know the trail is there! Northwoods ski trail is a classic only system, promising adventure. This is a great system to ski if the temperatures are cold, as it is very wind protected throughout most of the system. Start at the parking area for the North Woods Ski Trail off of National Forest Highway 11. Head off to the left around the outer perimeter loop. At the apex of this loop, there is an option to connect to Tettagouche State Park. Feel free to add on to your adventure! If time doesn’t allow for that, continue clockwise around the perimeter loop until hitting a left hand turn that will take you to Bean Lake.

Photo Spot: Snap a photo with Bean Lake, and enjoy the familiar but unfamiliar view of this iconic landmark.
Head back the way you came until reaching the Northwoods loop, and take two quick lefts to continue along the outer perimeter. Stick left through multiple intersections until returning to the parking area.
