Piedmont

Piedmont: Take a photo at the overlook of the St Louis River, approximately .8 kilometers from the B intersection.

Route Description: Piedmont personifies charm and local love, with hand made wooden signs dotting the forest, making this double track classic only trail a quaint and magical ski.
Start your ski from the Hutchinson Road trailhead along the two way access trail to intersection A. Take your first left toward B, and then another left toward E.

Photo Spot: Approximately .8 kilometers from intersection B, you will come upon an overlook of the St. Louis River. Stop and snap a photo of the sweeping view of the estuary, and take in sites of Duluth, and the hillside as it stretches west.
Continue on to intersection E. Feel free to add on the black loop for more adventure, and if conditions allow, otherwise, continue straight past E to G. Take a left to complete the bonus loop, then glide through Lovers Lane until reaching intersection B once more. Take a left toward C, and complete the outer loop passive D, and ultimately return to A. Do another loop, or return to the parking lot if time doesn’t allow!
